The receipt stained with rust really ties it all together.

Rust.

Under my 2012 Volvo!! Where did they drive this thing, literally in the ocean? And yes, there’s a nut missing right there where the bracket should be secured to the chassis, which was causing a rattle.

Since the car in question is a Jeep, the rust can have a go from inside and outside.

What year is this? ‘88 and up should have used galvanized tubs and body parts.

I just the did those soft lines on my ‘93 F150...I couldn’t even tell the difference between the lock ring and the fitting. I ended up using a hammer and chisel and pound at where the lock ring should be to get it off

Three words: Coastal New England

Surprisingly the frame is solid. A bit of surface rust but no actual rot.

That’s funny right there, I didn’t think they made a jeep that won’t rust all over here in the rust belt.
